Deck the halls or to be more specific the lobby of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio!
Various whimsical inspiration and childhood Christmas fun recently transformed the already beautiful entrance to the hospital. A Christmas tree forest was on display welcoming and making the season brighter for patients and their families.
Hospital Associates from various departments found new ways to brighten the Christmas Season for those they serve. They added their own flare and creativity to make this magical setting a reality.
Their incredible tree creations which took time and planning didn’t just enhance the entrance. It also ended up going to a great cause. After the trees were displayed, judged and the winners crowned, the trees were blessed by the Archbishop. They were then off. They traveled to one of the oldest community centers in San Antonio, Catholic Charities’ Guadalupe Community Center. Families could then pick up these treasured trees from there and have a little extra to deck their halls this year.
The trees are judged for their child-friendly themes and creative use of materials.
This year’s top three winners were A Toyful Tree, Star Wars, and Lollipops and Gumdrops Galore with many other themed trees, including Harry Potter, Whoville and Paw Patrol.
Thank you to each and every person who helped spread holiday cheer through these outstanding trees.
