Grateful for the glamour
Some small superstars were treated to a day of pampering– courtesy of Kidd’s Kids.
Kidd’s Kids was founded by late radio host Kidd Kraddick in 1991, with a goal of making a difference in the lives of children and families dealing with life altering conditions.
At The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, there’s a deep commitment to saving the lives of thousands of children from South Central Texas through advanced medical care, research, and programs. There are hundreds of people and special partnerships that make that possible.
Offering a healing, compassionate touch and a smile to every little one who comes through the hospital doors isn’t uncommon to see on campus. And, that healing comes in different forms. Sometimes it requires some hot music from a hip D.J., an extra layer of nail polish and a cool hair tease to make someone’s day. That pretty much sets the scene on this day at the hospital’s Child Life Center.
The stylists from Toni & Guy were on hand doing hair, makeup and nails. The Kidd’s Kids Glam Event really lifted the spirits of some incredible youngsters including one little girl who asked her stylist to make her look like Beyonce. A little boy who has aspirations of being an actor one day got a chance to practice and get some camera time in front of a couple of local television stations.
We are so thankful for partnerships like this who help us generate valuable family time and lift the spirits of everyone with their cool vibes, great attitudes and that beautiful touch.
